  • Parker : 92

2013 Hermitage (Red) Rhone Valley

Maison Tardieu-Laurent 2013 Hermitage Vieilles Vignes is truly elegant! The shiny, purple-red colour is intense and alluring. The complex nose open-up completing with a little aeration: liquorice, cherry, blackberry, leather, pepper, and violet. With a creamy, velvety palate, the 2013 Hermitage offers silky tannins and spicy tastes. With great ageing potential, this wine will require some time in the cellar to peak.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Michel's 2013 Hermitage is a classic representation of the vintage, and offers textbook minerality and scorched earth-like characteristics to go with beautiful cassis, black raspberry, black cherry and violet aromas and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, vibrant, sappy and downright lively, it has bright acidity and fine, polished tannin. It needs 3-4 years of cellaring and will have two decades of overall longevity.
