Description
Villa Baulieu 2012 is mainly sourced from our white chalky marl soils and from a few spots of basalt soil. Manually picked at phenolic ripeness, the grapes (Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon) are transported to the cellar in 10kg baskets. Aged in the french barrels for 10 to 12 months, this Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence is fine with complex aromas of mint liqueur, liquorice black fruits and mocha, underlined by hints of peony and liquorice sweets, followed by perfumes of black berries and white fleshed fruit. On the palate this red wine from Provence is fresh, dynamic, with a rich structure of tight, refined tannins. A very serious wine !
