At the tasting, the Virginie de Valandraud 2018 offers a splendid expression of fruit (notes of black fruit, blackcurrant and plum), along with gourmet notes of chocolate and smoke, evoking dried tobacco leaf, finally evolving notes of undergrowth with truffles. Gourmet and full-bodied, the palate displays a delicious round and fruity texture, structured by ripe and mouth-coating tannins. Full of freshness, the finish persists for a long time, maintaining its beautiful aromatic expression. A great Saint-Émilion, which will evolve perfectly by 2030-2035.
