The Estate
Domaine du Pavillon (Albert Bichot): founded in the 18th century in Pommard, in the Côte de Beaune, in Burgundy, this estate now belongs to the family-owned house of Albert Bichot, led by Albéric Bichot. Set around the Clos des Ursulines, it extends over 19.5 hectares of vineyards, including nearly 4 hectares held as a monopole in the Pommard Clos des Ursulines. Certified organic since the 2018 vintage, the estate stands out for its mosaic of terroirs in the Côte de Beaune, spanning grands crus, premiers crus and village appellations.
The Vineyard
This cuvée comes from a Chardonnay plot located at the entrance to the village of Meursault, on clay-limestone soils rich in chalk and white marl. This limestone terroir gives the wine a pronounced minerality, balancing the opulence typical of Meursault wines.
Winemaking and Ageing
The grapes for this Meursault Village « Les Criots » 2024 are harvested by hand, then gently pressed. Fermentation and ageing take place on fine lees in oak barrels, a proportion of which are new, for 14 to 16 months.
Grape Variety
This wine is made from Chardonnay.
