Description
Tasting Notes and Recommendations for Ceretto's Blangé 2025
Tasting Notes
Appearance
The colour reveals a pale, bright straw-yellow hue, enhanced by delicate greenish highlights.
Nose
The nose opens with a clean, fragrant bouquet combining aromas of pear, white peach and citrus, enhanced by subtle hints of tropical fruit. Notes of white flowers, fresh almond and a mineral touch reminiscent of graphite complete this olfactory palette.
Palate
The attack is soft and juicy, revealing a light body supported by fine acidity. The palate stands out for its savouriness and saline minerality, offering a smooth, harmonious texture. The finish, remarkably clean, lingers on refreshing flavours of citrus and almond.
Food and Wine Pairings
Perfectly suited as an aperitif, this white wine also pairs wonderfully with light everyday meals. It goes ideally with antipasti, grilled vegetables, white fish carpaccio, seafood or delicate poultry.
Serving and Cellaring
To fully enjoy the Blangé 2025, it is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 10 and 12°C. Although designed to be enjoyed young, this vintage has the structure needed to age gracefully in the cellar until around 2030.
The Pure, Mineral Expression of a Piedmont White Wine by Ceretto
The Estate
Founded in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto in Alba, the Ceretto estate is a leading figure in Piedmont, Italy. Originally a négociant house, the family business has since transformed itself to showcase the region's great terroirs. Today, the third generation, embodied by Lisa, Alessandro, Roberta and Federico, leads this 160-hectare estate. A pioneer in highlighting individual crus, the estate also stands out for its strong environmental commitment, holding organic and biodynamic certification, while skilfully blending the world of wine with art and hospitality.
The Vineyard
The grapes for this cuvée come from a vast 80-hectare vineyard spread across the communes of Alba, Vezza d'Alba and Castellinaldo. This terroir, situated at the crossroads of the Roero hills and the Langhe, benefits from predominantly limestone and sandy soils. These conditions, combined with an optimal altitude and good ventilation, promote freshness and aromatic expression in the grapes. All the vines are cultivated according to organic and biodynamic principles, with minimal soil work to preserve biodiversity.
Winemaking and Ageing
To preserve the aromatic purity of the Blangé 2025, winemaking completely excludes the use of wood. Fermentation and ageing take place entirely in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then filtered before bottling, sealed with a screw cap to ensure lasting freshness and optimal protection against oxidation.
Grape Variety
100% Arneis.
