Description
In august 1987, Château Coussin wanted to pay a nostalgic and friendly tribute to the famous sculptor Cesar, based on the idea of Gabriel Sumeire (son of Elie Sumeire who knew Cesar quite well in his youth in the 30s). The Château Coussin 2013 César à Sumeire is a Côtes de Provence rosé, elegant and full of assets. Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah compose this blend and reflect the singularity of the rosés from Sainte Victoire and particularly the singularity of this property. Its evanescent colour is sprinkled with light salmon hints. Its aromatic elegance is underlined by its charm with floral fragrances of jasmine and hawthorn, enhanced by blueberries. One can appreciate the straightforwardness of the taste with this frank and mouth-watering attack. The mid-palate has breadth (yet balance) and offers acidulous notes of a good concentration. This rosé is obviously a gastronomy rosé with a short ageing potential in order to express more complexity. It will wonderfully pair with Mediterranean cuisine including grilled wolffish with fennel or even red mullet with tapenade. Great wine!
