Product of a beautiful vintage, the Château de Myrat 2018 reveals the authentic character of a great Sauternes wine.
Situated on the magnificent stony terroir of Haut-Barsac in the south of Bordeaux, the Château de Myrat estate expands over 22 hectares of vines, planted in fissured clay-limestone soils. The vineyard is planted with Sémillon (90%), Sauvignon (6%) and Muscadelle (4%).
Beginning on October 3rd, the harvest took place in 3 successive tries and last until October 31st. The Grand Vin of the estate, the Château de Myrat 2018 is produced from a second selection of fruit, bearing just the right amount of noble rot.
An elegant and classy Sauternes, the Château de Myrat 2018 seduces with its aromatic bouquet, which offers nice fruit, especially notes of pear and citrus. The palate is packed with generous, exotic fruit flavours that stretch into a very long and fresh finish. An accurate, balanced and truly great Sauternes, highlighted by a beautiful tension.
