Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou's history goes back to the 18th century; more precisely to 1720. The Castle's name Beaucaillou (beautiful stones) refers to gorgeous, large rocks on the terroir. The 2006 Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot.
This rich and elegant vintage from Saint-Julien reveals super purple red hue. The deep, strong nose exudes fresh grapes. The palate offers silky and full attack, followed by lush mid-palate and great tension, with rich fresh fruit flavours. Unusually refined tannins carry the long and powerful finish.
