Description
2008 Saint-Julien 2e Cru Classe from Bordeaux
Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou's 75 hectares vineyard (185.3 acres) is located at the heart of a centennial park with stunning view of Gironde estuary. The 2008 release is a lovely blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot.
The vintage from Saint-Julien appellation reveals a beautiful, dark violet hue, and a very rich nose with scent of cassis liqueur and blackberry paired with elegant touch of roasted coffee. The sweet and fleshy attack evolves into a strong, robust mid-palate. Unusually refined tannins carry the long and powerful finish.
