2012 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé from Bordeaux.
The Chateau Fombrauge embodies the elegance of the Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés; it is the biggest estate of the appellation. The 2012 vintage blend is dominated by Merlot, followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
The 2012 Chateau Fombrauge shows a purple-tinted very dense red hue. The former offers grilled vanilla aromas followed by woody notes as well as blackcurrant and black cherry hints. This medium-bodied Saint-Emilion carries an excellent concentration. This 2012 Grand Cru Classé reveals a good texture and develops ripped tannins which foreshadow a wonderful ageing potential for this wine.
