Description
The power and richness of a great Saint-Émilion wine
The Estate
Château Grand Mayne stands majestically in the heart of the vineyards of Saint-Émilion, like a ship floating on a sea of vines. Founded in the 15th century, it did not truly take flight in winemaking until the 17th century under the impetus of the Laveau family, who propelled the estate to the pinnacle of its craft in the 18th century. In 1934, the Nony family took over its management and began extensive renovation work. Today, the Nony family, still the owner, oversees this prestigious estate, an essential member of the elite of Bordeaux’s great wines.
The Vineyard
With its 15 hectares of vineyards ideally situated at the foot of the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, this Grand Cru Classé is one of the flagships of the emblematic appellation of the Right Bank.
Blend
Merlot (85%), complemented by Cabernet Franc (13%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (2%).
