Chateau Haut-Batailley is located in the illustrious Pauillac appellation, on the banks of Gironde estuary. The vineyard is bordered by prestigious Saint-Julien and Saint-Estèphe terroirs. The 2010 Chateau Batailley is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (in majority) and Merlot.
The vintage displays a shiny, dark red colour. The nose exudes intense dark fruit notes adding to the character of very ripe grapes and pleasant freshness. On the palate, the rather gradual attack reveals fine grained tannins. This Pauillac 4e Cru Classe carries a beautiful structure, precise and balanced, and ratifies the elegant style of a superb 2010 vintage.
