Nose
The nose combines woody notes with delicious fragrances of red fruits (raspberries).

A round and balanced attack precedes a silky, full and persistent palate.

Braised beef, skewers of guinea fowl supreme, duck fillets with honey, Toulouse cassoulet or even pheasant in a casserole are refined pairings with this cuvée.

The property
Owned by the Castéja family since 2005, the Château La Croix du Casse is a very serious reference of the Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux. Equipped with efficient tools and benefiting from an exceptional vineyard, the property stands out for its great Pomerol wines full of charm and seduction expressing all the typicity of the appellation.
The vineyard
Located at the southern tip of the Pomerol plateau, the vineyard of Château La Croix du Casse extends over a terroir characteristic of the appellation, made up of gravel and ancient sands with a sub-layer containing a significant proportion of iron crasse.

Merlot (93%)
Cabernet franc (7%).
