Consulted by famous owner Hubert de Boüard de Laforest (chateau Angélus, La Fleur de Boüard) as part of its consultant oenologist activity, La Pointe wine estate offers a 2014 La Pointe wine with a nice deep purple-tinted colour. The nose of this Pomerol is very pure, full of slightly spicy black fruit. In the palate, the entry is smooth and round, really juicy, then intensifies, displaying a good dense structure. The tannins are well placed and tightly knit. The finish is elevated and fresh throughout, the Cabernet Francs conveying persistence and complexity.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
The 2014 La Pointe has a composed, truffle and smoke tinged bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, touches of incense emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, fine tannin and well-judged acidity. This is refined and poised, displaying commendable energy and harmony towards the finish that begs you back for another sip. This is a well-made La Pointe from Eric Monnoret, a Pomerol that seems to be improving now that it is in bottle. One to watch... Tasted twice with consistent notes.
