An emblematic property of Graves, Château Latour-Martillac is one of the estates reflecting the style of great wines from the Pessac-Léognan appellation, located south of the Bordeaux wine region. Product of a vintage full of challenges, the Château Latour-Martillac White 2017 was, nevertheless, successful, resulting in a word-class white wine.
The Château Latour-Martillac Blanc 2017 blend gives pride of place to Sémillon (50%), which is present in a higher proportion than in previous vintages. This varietal is complemented by 50% Sauvignon Blanc (50%).
The bright aromatic palette of this wine reveals great complexity, highlighting the purity of the fruit, along with hints of lemon, which evolve into apricot and fragrances of white fruit. In its volume and density, the palate expresses the typical qualities of Pessac-Léognan Grand Vin white wines, with a palate revealing great aromatic concentration, and a perfect balance between intense fruity notes and an elegance provided by the beautiful acidity. The finish offers an elegant and persistent length. The maturation technique of this wine (25% in new French oak barrels) brings a soft and discreet woody note, guaranteeing a superb potential for guard in this Château Latour-Martillac 2017. A wonderful white wine from Pessac-Léognan, bursting with expression on the palate.
