A red Grand Vin of Saint-Émilion

Boasting a prime location on the right bank of Bordeaux, Château Roylland is located near some of the biggest names in the Saint-Émilion appellation.

Classified in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, the Château Roylland estate expands over a 5-hectare vineyard, planted in great clay-loam and sandy-clay soils. The grape variety shows the typicality of the right bank with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The vineyard is cultivated by means of reasoned agriculture.

A red Grand Vin from Saint-Émilion, the Château Roylland 2018 is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, 40% of which are new.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Roylland has quite an oaky nose to begin, giving way to to notes of baked black cherries, dried mulberries and plum preserves plus hints of smoked meats and dried herbs. Full-bodied with a firm, grainy frame, it has a savory core on the palate, with a woody finish.
