Château Saint-Pierre 2008

Bordeaux - Saint-Julien - Red - 13° Château Saint-Pierre Château Saint-Pierre 2008 1030/08
  • Parker : 93
  • J. Robinson : 16,5

The 2008 Château Saint-Pierre exhibits an intense purple colour. The 83% Cabernet Sauvignon gives to the nose a greatly fine and spicy feature. The palate offers a remarkable body with silky and delicious tannins, a good persistence for a balanced finished. This charming Saint-Julien vintage is complete and seduces thanks to a very distinct style.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
As I predicted from barrel, this stunning effort is a wine to buy by the case. Its opaque ruby/purple color is followed by aromas of graphite, barbecue smoke, blackberries and black currants. The full-bodied, textured 2008 Saint-Pierre reveals a skyscraper-like mouthfeel along with tremendous viscosity and unctuosity. One of the richest and potentially longest-lived 2008s, it is a fabulous sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 20+ years.
