Dark garnet, fairly dense at the core, ruby rim. Spicy, dark-berry bouquet with smoky nuances and Brazil tobacco; slender yet very aromatic. The palate follows suit, with ripe tannins, finishing again on tobacco and now blueberries. Well crafted and not over-extracted.

The 2013 Sociando-Mallet has a medium garnet color, with a touch of brick. It begins with broody notions of tar, scorched earth, and dried herbs, leading to a core of prunes, fruitcake, and graphite, with a hint of leather. The medium-bodied palate delivers a good wallop of fruit with firm, rugged tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing chewy.

The 2013 is rather soft and is developing quite quickly. In short, it should be drunk now.

A dense, tight wine with good substance, serious, slightly vegetal, but with lovely length. It will evolve well in the bottle.

Garnet red with purplish highlights. A fruity, spicy bouquet with a pleasant hint of licorice. Lush, slightly creamy attack. On the palate, the wine is balanced and well supported by its tannins. It is fruity and very approachable. A wine to drink… now! Good glou-glou
