The Power and Finesse of a Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Émilion

Located on the Right Bank of the Bordeaux region, with its 30 hectares in one piece, on the limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion, the majestic Château Soutard is a beautiful reference of this prestigious appellation. The wines of this historic property are appreciated by wine lovers for their power, depth and finesse, along with the elegance of fruit.

Derived from a blend largely dominated by Merlot (90%) and complemented by Cabernet Franc (10%), the Château Soutard 2017 presents a superb aromatic bouquet, in which the freshness of red berries is intense. On the palate, the wine delivers elegance and finesse, with a texture that emphasises the smoothness of its tannins, with a tension that brings balance and depth to the very long finish. A nice vintage for this Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion.

Wine Advocate-Parker :
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Soutard is a little closed at first, giving way to redcurrant jelly, kirsch and mulberries on the nose with hints of garrigue, Provence herbs and forest floor. The palate is medium-bodied, soft and plush with tons of freshness and a perfumed earth finish.
