Fresh and juicy on the palate. Lighter in weight but with structure and length.

An attractive red with currants, light tobacco, bitter chocolate and spice. Medium to full body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Drink now.

Tasted blind. First bottle TCA. Second bottle: dark cherry. Volatile and harsh. Tough tannins. I am not sure if this was faulty but we agreed to score it, unlike a couple of other wines where both bottles clearly had seemingly unredeemable faults. (JH)

With floral and plum notes on the nose, there is a softness on the palate, finishing with black raspberries and some dryness on the finish. 86-88 Pts

Nice perfume of wild berries, fine oak and tobacco notes. The palate has a nice density of fruit, crushed berries, good freshness, a tannic backbone and a rather long finish.

Dark garnet, fairly dense in the middle, with a ruby rim. Highly distinctive bouquet, vegetal, bakelite notes, black plum skin. On the palate, dense and surprisingly velvety, licorice tones in a gently bitter finish. A tricky profile?

(80% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon) Broad, herbal bouquet, cherry compote, baking chocolate. Velvety, slightly dry palate with medium fruit, fine sandy tannins, powerful aromatics, dry finish. Can improve further. 16/20 2019 - 2032

A beautiful, dense wine with substance, a slight herbal note that will bring freshness, good length.

Logo on the cork: CB Bright color of medium intensity. Fruity nose, with a note of redcurrant, while all the other vintages lean towards blackberry. Soft, fruity, pleasant palate, but light.

87–89. Barrel Sample. This is a soft and fruity wine, with gentle berry flavors and a smoky new-wood character.
