The estate
Located in the high-altitude village of Ponte Leccia, Clos Venturi is one of the newest estates in Corse, established in the early 2000s after the subdivision of the finest terroirs of the Domaine Vico, another property of Jean-Marc and Manu Venturi.
The vineyard
This Corse estate oversees a vineyard of around twenty hectares.
The wine
This Chiesa Nera blanc is a vin de France produced from vines planted on sandstone soils, facing south/southeast.
Winemaking and aging
Hand-harvested, the grapes are destemmed before a 48 to 72-hour maceration in oval concrete tanks. Pneumatic pressing. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in foudres. Aging takes 20 months in oval concrete tanks and 4 to 6 months in bottles.
