Tasting Notes
Appearance
The wine reveals a pale to light yellow hue, brightened by subtle greenish glints. Clear and bright, it reflects a lovely freshness.
Nose
The nose opens with an aromatic bouquet blending white and yellow fruit notes, such as apple, pear and lemon. Delicate touches of white flowers, like acacia, intertwine with hints of sweet spices and a fine minerality.
Palate
On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively. The texture proves supple and slightly rich, perfectly balanced by a lovely tension. The finish, of medium length, leaves a pleasant fruity and spicy sensation.
Food and Wine Pairing
Ideal as an aperitif, this white wine pairs wonderfully with seafood such as grilled white fish, shellfish or delicate oysters. It also beautifully accompanies roasted poultry, vegetable-based dishes like risotto, as well as pressed uncooked cheeses or fresh goat cheeses.
Serving and Cellaring
For optimal tasting, it is recommended to serve this 2024 Bourgogne "Condemaine" at a temperature between 10 and 12 °C.
The Elegance and Freshness of a White Wine from the Côte de Beaune
The Estate
Located in France, at the heart of the Burgundy wine region, the Domaine du Comte Armand was founded in 1828, the year the renowned Clos des Épeneaux entered the family's heritage. Based in Pommard, the estate now spans 9 hectares. Still owned by the same family, the domaine is currently represented by Olivier Armand. Farmed organically and biodynamically, the Domaine du Comte Armand stands out for its philosophy of symbiosis between the vine and nature, producing wines celebrated for their perfect balance of power, refinement and elegance.
The Vineyard
The grapes used to make this Bourgogne come from plots classified under the regional appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune. The vineyard is cultivated according to certified organic and biodynamic principles. Particular attention is paid to preserving biodiversity, meticulously working the clay-limestone soils, and strictly limiting yields so that the terroir can fully express itself.
Winemaking and Aging
The making of the 2024 Bourgogne "Condemaine" follows a precise approach aimed at preserving the purity and freshness of the fruit. Currently aging at the estate, this wine benefits from careful attention with moderate use of oak, allowing the natural elegance of the grape variety to be highlighted without ever overshadowing it.
Grape Variety
This wine is made exclusively from Chardonnay (100%).
