Wine Advocate-Parker : This is a big wine to begin with, but the 2011 Barolo Enrico VI is among the biggest yet. The vintage heat has conspired to further enrich and concentrate the dark and structured fruit that characterizes the Villero cru in Castiglione Falletto. The bouquet is spicy and bold with blackberry, dried cherry, tar and licorice. In the mouth, the wine offers bold structure, tight tannins and a distinct sense of nobility. This Barolo gives you a lot to chew on both figuratively and literally.
