The 2014 Domaine de Chevalier displays a golden yellow crystal clear and bright colour with golden-green highlights. The nose carries great aromatic finesse. The former is also delicate (white flowers), clear, fresh and deep on swirling. The nose evolves towards white pepper, candied lemon, yellow fruit fragrances as well as a few notes of mirabelle. The attack is precise, and then gives nervousness to the whole. The mid-palate combines the thickness of the fruit with minerality: it guarantees balance, as well as an airy and vibrant character of the wine. The green tea retro-olfaction is unique. The finish is straightforward, almost sappy (nervous). This wine is one of the great successes of the dry whites of this 2014 vintage and a total success for the Pessac-Leognan appellation.
