Domaine de la Pousse d'Or : Volnay 1er cru "En Caillerets" 2008

Premier cru Volnay Domaine de la Pousse d'Or 2008 Caillerets is a single-grape wine made from Pinot Noir. It comes from a 2.24 hectares plot, surrounded by a stone wall on its superior side. It benefits from a mainly calcareous marlstone soil from Aargau with, partially, calcareous-clay screes from Bathonian. This soil ensures the richness of elements and a good permeability for an extraordinary terroir. This cuvee was aged on lees in oak barrels (with 30% new Barrels) for 15 months. It possesses an interesting aromatic complexity. The palate is rich and deep for a full-bodied and balanced wine.
