The estate
The Domaine de la Vougeraie was established in 1999 with the ambition to bring together, under one estate, all the Premier Crus, Grand Crus and Monopoles gradually acquired by the Boisset family, wine merchants, since 1964. Advocating a viticulture that listens to its vineyard, the Domaine de la Vougeraie gives birth to cuvées which, by their precision, their purity, their elegance and their aromatic richness, are recognised as prestigious Burgundy wines. The Domaine de la Vougeraie oversees a terroir of 34 hectares of vines spread over 67 plots.
The vineyard
The Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2022 from Domaine de la Vougeraie is made from two plots ("Montiottes hautes" of 1.052 ha and "Baudes Saint-Martin" of about 0.37 ha) located respectively halfway up and at the bottom of the Clos.
Vinification and ageing
Gravity-fed vatting. Pre-fermentation maceration at low temperature (12-15°C) for 5 days. Total vatting time of 20 days, accompanied by a light pumping over per day until the end of the vatting. Ageing for 16 months in barrels (of which 20% are new).

The Clos Vougeot Grand Cru 2022 from Domaine de la Vougeraie is a 100% Pinot Noir.
