Colour
The colour reveals a golden hue enhanced by delicate emerald highlights.
Nose
Intense and alluring, the nose exudes aromas of white peach and citrus fruits, harmoniously blended with a chalky, saline minerality, alongside subtle buttery and woody notes.
Palate
Full-bodied and fleshy, the palate charms with its fine balance between vibrant acidity and a rich, mouth-filling texture. It unfolds flavours of ripe stone fruits, while retaining a bright freshness and great elegance.
Food and wine pairing
This white wine pairs beautifully with seafood such as oysters, scallops, or steamed shrimp. It also enhances creamy pasta dishes, baked or ceviche-style fish, as well as terrines. When it comes to cheese, it pairs perfectly with camembert, brie, or gruyère. For a bolder pairing, lightly warmed cod served with a saffron sauce would be perfect.

The mineral elegance of a great white Burgundy from Domaine des Terres de Velle
The estate
Founded in 2009 by Sophie and Fabrice Laronze, Domaine des Terres de Velle quickly established itself in Burgundy thanks to its meticulous, plot-by-plot approach. Located in Auxey-Duresses, the estate is centred around a 19th-century mill and cultivates just over seven hectares of vines spread across prestigious appellations. In July 2023, the estate was acquired by the Solexia group and the renowned winemaker Pierre Vincent, becoming Domaine Pierre Vincent. Respect for terroir and a philosophy of minimal intervention remain at the heart of this celebrated estate's identity.
The vineyard
The terroir from which this Savigny-Les-Beaune originates stands out for its steep topography and east-facing exposure, on the border with Pernand-Vergelesses. The Chardonnay vines, around thirty years old, thrive on soils composed of marl, limestone, and clay. This distinctive geology gives the wine its characteristic mineral backbone, while morning sunlight promotes optimal ripening of the berries while preserving their freshness.
The vintage
2022 stood out for conditions that favoured excellent fruit ripeness. This growing season yielded rich berries, requiring precise skill to maintain the balance and tension essential to great white wines.
Winemaking and aging
The making of the Savigny-Les-Beaune 1er Cru "Aux Vergelesses" 2022 is rooted in a philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the terroir to express itself fully. Winemaking is carried out in as natural a way as possible. The wine is aged for two winters in the estate's cellars, with moderate use of new oak barrels, allowing for natural stabilisation of the wine without technical additions.
