Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2014 du domaine du château de Meursault : un Meursault 1er Cru frais, ample et généreux
The Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2014 is a Chardonnay white wine produced in the Meursault 1er Cru appellation. The plots cover a total area of 1.1 hectares, the vines benefiting from hard limestone soils of the Jurassic. The ageing of the wine is carried out in oak barrels for 15 to 18 months on average, with a proportion of 35% new barrels and the rest in barrels of one or two previous wines.
With its bright yellow-gold colour, the Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières 2014 from domaine du château de Meursault boasts an expressive nose, developing floral fragrances mixed with notes of ripe, woody and empyreumatic fruit. The wine reveals freshness, amplitude and generosity on the palate. Les Perrières 2014 proves to be long on the finish, thanks to the very mineral terroir of the domain.
This comment will be called into question depending on the evolution of the wine over time.
Wine Advocate-Parker :
Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, Château de Meursault's 2014 Meursault 1er Cru les Perrières has a very intense nose with pure walnut, flint and light popcorn scentsùall very sensual. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, fine delineation, lovely saline notes toward the oaky finish that fans out with great confidence and gusto. This fulfills the promise that it showed from barrel.
