Domaine Merlin : Mâcon La Roche Vineuse "Vieilles Vignes" 2022

The 2022 Mâcon La Roche Vineuse Vieilles Vignes is 100% barrel fermented for 12 months and spends 4–5 months in tank. This is clearly a level up from the regular cuvée with more terroir expression and intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded, slightly honeyed entry, perhaps missing a little bite on the finish, though it has approachability and charm.

Fuller, lively and saline, the Vieilles Vignes version offers extra length and intensity.
