Description
An elegant and complex Côtes de Provence white wine
The estate
In 1896, Marcel Ott, a young agricultural engineer from Alsace, settled in Provence with the ambition that this vineyard, greatly impacted by phylloxera, could produce fine wines. Today, the Ott family still perpetuates this know-how in order to produce a range of rosé, red and white Provence wines from three estates, Château de Selle, Clos Mireille and Château Romassan. Created by René Ott in the 1930s, the iconic and unmistakable Domaines Ott* bottle mirrors the quality of these fine Provence wines. In 2004, Domaines Ott* joined the Louis Roederer house.
The vineyard
Overlooking the Mediterranean and resting on a schistous soil, Clos Mireille benefits from a microclimate that combines a protective wind and dry air stemming from the hills along with an ideal amount of sunshine for the vineyard. The Clos Mireille "Blanc de Blancs" 2021 by Domaines Ott* is a Côtes de Provence wine that enhances the structure and complexity of two grape varieties, Semillon and Rolle.
Vinification and ageing
Aged in oak barrels.
