The E.Guigal estate was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal, in Ampuis. His son, Marcel, took over in 1961. Today, it is the third generation that perpetuates the heritage and values of this iconic family estate in the Rhône Valley.
Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage, the E. Guigal estate watches over a patchwork of vineyards located in numerous appellation, creating a range of wines of impeccable quality.
Over the years, E. Guigal has developed rapidly, becoming the owner of the famous Château d'Ampuis in 1995, as well as several other wine estates (Jean-Louis Grippat, Domaine de Vallouit, Domaine de Bonserine and Château de Nalys, in Châteauneuf-du-Pape).
The iconic La Doriane d'E. Guigal is made from 5 exceptional vineyards in the Condrieu appellation (Côte Chatillon, Chery, Vernon, Volan, Colombier).
The vines are 35 years old on average and are planted on steep terraces on soils composed mainly of granite (biotite granite, muscovite granite).
