The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru La Combe aux Moines is pure Pinot Noir. The grape-varietal grows on a vineyard of 1.19 hectares. This vintage wine was aged in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months in vaulted cellars of the 19th century, which offered optimum ageing conditions.
The 2013 La Combe aux Moines gives off fresh red berry and spices aromas, followed by delicate woody and smoky notes. The round and persistent palate offers fruity and woody flavours. This wine carries silky tannins and is concluded by a distinguished and very persistent finish.
