The Alfred Gratien House produces champagne since 1864. Rigorous grape selection, old style winemaking, limitation of volumes and respect for the terroir are its signature. The willingness of its leaders to remain faithful to the philosophy of the founder, Alfred Gratien, materializes at every stage of winemaking. The Champagne Alfred Gratien is a wine of a long tradition for which Nicolas Jeager, Cellar Master, is the guarantor. Like his ancestors for four generations, he transmits the uniqueness of the Alfred Gratien Champagnes. Each year it obtains the best crops of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. The fermentation in oak barrels is conducted with meticulous attention to preserve the original character of the grape and the terroir, in order to keep the wine's freshness.
