A Strong but elegant wine, the 2009 Barolo Big 'd Big of Rocche dei Manzoni is a pure Nebbiolo. It was aged for 36 to 48 months in wooden barrels, and then 12 months in bottles before being put on sale. Its cherry, blackberry, violet, vanilla, or even toasted aromas bring intensity and complexity to this cuvee. On the palate, the 2009 Big'd Big has a velvety texture even though tannins are still quite firm due to the youth of this wine. It is a wine worth keeping that can still wait for twenty more years before revealing its full potential.
