The Saint-Aubin appellation spreads out over 150 hectares in only the Saint-Aubin commune in the Côte de Beaune district. Out of all of the Saint-Aubin appellation climats, 30 have Premier Cru classification. The vines are located between 300 and 350 metres above sea level. The white variety Chardonnay vines are planted in white clay-limestone soil while the red variety Pinot Noir ones benefit from brown clay soil. The red wines are fat, silky and offer a lively finish. The whites from Saint-Aubin reveal themselves as fat, complete and noble as they age.
