Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion

The Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion appellation covers a total area of 200 hectares. It is located near the La Barbanne River and enclosed by the Saint-EmilionCastillon Cotes de BordeauxPuisseguin-Saint-Emilion and Montagne-Saint-Emilion appellations. The red wines produced in Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion are grown on clay and limestone. The grape varieties planted are Cabernet FrancCabernet Sauvignon and Merlot (majority). These wines are distinguished by their power, strong character and extremely well-structured tannins.
