Description
A distinctive and great Californian wine by Screaming Eagle
The winery
Screaming Eagle is a wine estate founded in 1986 by Jean Phillips. A visionary, this former real estate agent was eager to turn this 23-hectare terroir into a reference among the finest Californian wines.
Located in Oakville in the heart of the Napa Valley, the estate was quickly acclaimed by the greatest international wine critics due to the finesse and aromatic richness of its wines.
Since 2006, Screaming Eagle has been owned by the American billionaire, Stan Kroenke, who also owns the Californian estates Jonata and The Hilt and has an 80% stake in the Burgundy estate, Bonneau du Martray.
The vineyard
Screaming Eagle watches over a terroir of about 20 hectares, spread over a mosaic of plots with different sun exposures and with soils made up of gravel and clayey loam.
The wine
Produced since 2012, Second Flight by Screaming Eagle is the Second Wine of the estate.
The blend
Screaming Eagle Second Flight 2016 is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
