An exceptional Alsatian eau-de-vie from the Vosges
Nusbaumer Distillery, artisanal know-how since 1947
Founded in 1947 by Joseph Nusbaumer in Steige in the Alsatian Vosges, the Nusbaumer distillery has perpetuated unique artisanal know-how for nearly 80 years. This independent family business, led since 2018 by Nicolas Lombard, has established itself as a French benchmark thanks to its four Holstein stills and its pure spring water from the Climont schists. Awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label in 2019, Nusbaumer stands out for its capacity for innovation, notably its simultaneous distillation of three different raw materials and its new botanical range including gin and aquavit, broadening its traditional expertise in fruit eaux-de-vie.
Wild Raspberry Eau-de-Vie, a unique production process
Framboise d'Exception results from a meticulous production process that begins with macerating raspberries in a high-proof raspberry eau-de-vie for three weeks. After distillation, dilution to the desired strength is carried out with spring water from Steige, of exceptional purity as it is naturally filtered by Vosges schist. A cold filtration perfects this artisanal production.
The packaging reflects the care taken with this exceptional product: each amber-colored bottle protects the liquid from light, while a colored wax medallion, applied by hand, seals this creation. This eau-de-vie boasts remarkable longevity and can be kept for around ten years in a closed bottle.
