The Barbaresco Gallina 2010 from the Ugo Lequio estates is, as any great Nebbiolo, displays at first a ruby red, almost garnet-red robe. Then coating scents of spices and liquorice appear, adding complexity along with hints of pepper, leather and rose. On the palate, is remains of an outstanding balanced harmony yet full-bodied. THis wine shows an aristocratic character.

Wine Advocate-Parker : The 2010 Barbaresco Gallina sees more candied fruit with dried cherry and raspberry roll-up. Medium depth and intensity make for an elegance and graceful first impression. Of particular note, however, are the amazing tannins. They are so finely textured and polished that they slowly fade to obscurity like the last chord of music in a long symphony. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2025.
