Description
2012 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, Burgundy
The Corton-Charlemagne is one of the only white Grands Crus in Burgundy, at the boundery between Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. This Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru of Domaine du Pavillon comes from a vineyard located on the Montagne de Corton which is South-East orientated on the Les Languettes climat (land with a unique combination of weather conditions and soil compositions). This 2012 wine reveals a pale golden colour in its youth, with green highlights. The nose is extremely delicate on fresh butter, baked apple, citrus fruits, linden-tree, fern, juniper tree, cinnamon or even flint fragrances. On the palate, the Chardonnay surprises by its concentration, its distinction and its balance. The intense finish is as rich as the nose.
