The Volnay Premier Cru is representative of the heart of the Cote d'Or, particularly the Clos de Chenes of the appellation. The Bouchard Pere & Fils estate is the owner of 85 acres of magnificent terroir. The 2011 Volnay Premier Crus Clos de Chenes first presents itself with a garnet robe highlighted in shades of violet. On the nose, the bouquet is rich and elegant, defined by aromas of jammy black fruit such as black cherry or plum. With ripe tannins the wine is both fleshy and concentrated.
