A generous and delicate Barbera d'Alba wine
The estate
Founded in the 1930s by Riccardo Ceretto, the House has established itself as a true benchmark in Piedmont. Now led by the third generation, represented by Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro and Federico Ceretto, the estate spans approximately 160 hectares of vines. A pioneer in showcasing local crus, the estate combines tradition, modernity and environmental respect, holding organic certification. This prestigious name is also renowned for its commitment to wine tourism and culture, blending art, architecture and exceptional vineyard landscapes.
The vineyard
The grapes for this Barbera d'Alba cuvée come from the Piana valley, located in the commune of Alba. This specific terroir covers an area of approximately 2.50 hectares. The vines are grown according to organic farming principles on calcareous marl soils, providing ideal conditions for the grape variety to thrive.
Winemaking and ageing
Piana 2024 is made exclusively in stainless steel tanks. This technical choice, which excludes any oak ageing, preserves the brightness of the fruit, the natural freshness of the berries and the aromatic purity of this Italian wine.
