A vintage champagne combining power and finesse
The estate
Founded in 1808 in Reims by Apolline Henriot, a visionary widow and niece of Canon Jean Godinot, Maison Henriot rapidly won over European courts with its first cuvée, Brut Souverain. Its 35-hectare vineyard extends over the finest Champagne terroirs: Vallée de la Marne, Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. Maison Henriot is characterised by the excellence of its cuvées produced mainly from chardonnay and its exclusive supply of grands and premiers crus. Under the direction of cellar master Alice Tétienne, it perpetuates the legacy of excellence initiated by its pioneering founder.
The vintage
The year 2015 was characterised in Champagne by high temperatures and intense heatwaves. Persistent drought marked the entire growing cycle. This sunny year of the decade generated notable heterogeneity in vigour and yields between plots. However, the limited production and water deficit favoured a high aromatic concentration of the grapes.
Vinification and ageing
Brut Millésimé Blanc 2015 benefits from a minimum ageing of 8 years in cellars before being released. The dosage of this Brut champagne is 2.5 g/L.
Grape varieties
53% pinot noir and 47% chardonnay sourced exclusively from Premiers and Grands Crus of Montagne de Reims (Verzenay, Avenay, Mutigny, Trépail) and Côte des Blancs (Chouilly).
