Founded in 1812, the Laurent-Perrier Champagne House reached its golden age in 1948, thanks to Bernard de Nonancourt’s dynamism. Under the leadership of this visionary businessman, the house stood out by producing vintages that reflected its values of excellence and innovation.
Since its very beginnings, the house has built its identity around Chardonnay. Through the freshness and finesse that it brings to the blend, this grape variety is the hallmark of this Champagne reference.
Laurent-Perrier's avant-garde approach is reflected in its Grand Siècle and its multi-vintage blends, its Ultra Brut with its "zero dosage" style, and its Cuvée Rosé, the first rosé champagne in this category. These original "breakthrough" cuvées, each creation being subject to an event, mark a new page in the history of Laurent-Perrier and its quest for excellence, for which it is internationally renowned.
The quintessence of Bernard de Nonancourt’s cherished values are in the Laurent-Perrier cuvées, unanimously recognised by connoisseurs.
This Laurent-Perrier Millésimes Réserves 2000 is made from a rigorous selection of vintages from the Montagne de Reims (Bouzy, Verzy, Verzenay) and the Côte des Blancs (Mesnil, Cramant, Oger, Chouilly).
Disgorgement on April 22, 2021. The dosage for this champagne is 7 g/litre.
Laurent Perrier's "Millésimes Réserves" is an edition featuring three vintages that have marked the house’s modern history, namely 1997, 1999 and 2000.
A mild winter preceded a contrasting spring. The summer months were marked by humid weather conditions as well as stormy episodes along with hail, which had a particular impact on the Mesnil-sur-Oger vineyard. The beautiful mild weather in September ensured the ripening of the grapes.
