2014 Saint-Estèphe from Bordeaux

The 2014 wine is a late harvest wine. The exceptional Indian summer (from late August until November) allowed the Chateau Cos d'Estournel team to pick Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc in the best possible conditions; that is to say, perfectly ripe. The 2014 Cos d'Estournel gives off a complex bouquet, dominated by delicate spicy notes of cinnamon and saffron (hallmark of the chateau). This wine also releases cigar box and delicious black fruit fragrances. On the palate, the attack is dynamic with an unctuous, rich, yet not heavy mid-palate with a tasty freshness. The elegant tannic structure is silky. The aromas gradually appear: it is a mark of great depth. The finish is aromatically rich, velvety and very long, which adds to the distinguished sensation of the Cabernets. This charming wine is elegant and dense. This Cos d'Estournel is a great Saint-Estèphe.
