A Mercurey Village red wine with fine and delicate tannins
The Mercurey Village Red of Château de Chamirey is a single-varietal Pinot Noir red wine produced in the Mercurey Village appellation. The plots from which this cuvée is made are planted on a clayey-calcareous terroir, which is predominantly clayey. The wine is aged 20% in stainless steel vats and 80% in oak barrels (10% of which are new).
With its magnificent purple-ruby colour and purplish reflections, the Mercurey Village Red 2015 from Château de Chamirey offers an open and seductive nose with aromas of red berries (strawberries). The attack is generous on the palate and the wine is fresh, revealing tasty touches of red fruits. The tannins combine finesse and delicacy. A delicious wine to consume before 2019-2021.
