Description
A structured and aromatic white Mercurey Village
En Pierrelet is a Mercurey Village white from two "En Pierrelet" parcels - with a total area of 2.967 hectares - planted in 1990. The Chardonnay which is used for the elaboration of this wine is planted on a small clay-limestone terrace, predominantly limestone. The vineyards are located just behind château de Chamirey.
The château de Chamirey "En Pierrelet" 2016 in Mercurey Village white is a 100% Chardonnay with a yellow colour and shades of green. The wine expresses notes of white flowers on the nose and evolves into more sun-scented aromas of fruit including delicious exotic fruits. This Chardonnay is full of sunshine. On the mouth there is a bold and precise attack which declines on the mid-palate with fat and juice. All in all this wine is very fine and airy, refreshing the palate with a very present minerality. A delicious wine with great keeping potential.
