The estate

A Premier Grand Cru Classé from Sauternes since 1855, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is one of the most prestigious names in the iconic wine appellation, located at the south of the Bordeaux wine region. This very old wine estate, which origins date back to the 12th century, has traversed each time period with brilliance and prestige. Beyond its famous sweet Sauternes wine, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey bears witness to its great know-how with a wonderful dry Bordeaux wine.

The vineyard

Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey lies on an exceptional terroir, with a 2-hectare vineyard dedicated to its Great Dry Bordeaux Wine. The vineyard is operated through sustainable agriculture and is made up of siliceous-gravel and clay-gravel soil.

Blend

This Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey Bordeaux Dry White 2020 is an approximately half Sauvignon Blanc wine (51%) and an approximately half Sémillon wine (49%).

Winemaking and ageing

The vinification of this Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey Bordeaux Dry White 2020 is carried out in French oak barrels, 20% of which are new barrels. Ageing lasts for 6 months.

The wine is crystal-clear, with superb golden highlights and silver sparkles.

Nose

The nose is marked by intense aromas of exotic fruit and citrus.

Palate

The palate seduces with its lively and fresh attack and its silky and smooth texture, as well as its perfect balance. Subtle notes of vanilla will bring you back to the ageing in oak barrels. The persistent finish is marked by notes of ginger and white pepper.
