The Producer
Located in Aloxe-Corton, Château Corton C. is rooted around a historic château whose current architecture dates back to the end of the 19th century. Acquired by the Frey family in 2014-2015, it was entrusted to Caroline Frey, a renowned oenologist who also manages La Lagune (Bordeaux) and Paul Jaboulet Aîné (Rhône). Under her leadership, the vineyard is converting to organic farming (certified in 2021) and moving towards biodynamics, with a vision focused on biodiversity and precision in winemaking methods. The name "Château Corton C" has gradually evolved into Domaine Caroline Frey, clearly affirming the signature of its manager. This continuity is reflected in more chiseled wines combining energy, fruit clarity and elegance.
The Vineyard
The heart of the Domaine beats in the "Clos du Château", a walled Monopole of 0.33 hectares, planted with Pinot Noir in 1973, classified as Corton Grand Cru.
Grape Variety
100% Pinot Noir
