Pure, subtle and soft-spoken, with aromas of minerals, spiced lemons and touches of roasted pineapple and seashells, which become more lifted on the palate. Medium- to full-bodied with good substance. Dry, tense and harmonious. Drink now or hold.

The 2022 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru shows a little more richness on the nose compared to the showing from barrel. It's lightly honeyed with white flowers and melted candle wax. The palate is similar, fairly pithy, with plenty of extract. It's “chewy” for a Puligny (actually quite Chassagne in style) with a brisk, lightly spiced finish.

The estate
Situated in Morey-Saint-Denis, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits, the Domaine des Lambrays is renowned for its emblematic Grand Cru "Clos des Lambrays", of which it owns almost the entirety. This exceptional terroir shapes some of Burgundy’s most prestigious wines.

Impressed by the excellence and rigor embodied by the estate, the LVMH group acquired it in 2014. Since then, targeted investments have ensured the sustainability of this winemaking heritage: meticulous parcel-by-parcel work, organic farming certification, biodynamic conversion, modernization of technical facilities, and expansion of the vineyard with new plots acquired in 2021.

Hailing from an exceptional terroir within the appellation Puligny-Montrachet, the climat "Les Folatières" is among the most renowned Premiers Crus of the village.
